I believe the Bible is the inspired, the only
infallible, word of God, without error in the original writing, completely
trustworthy and the ultimate authority for my beliefs.
I believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God who became human, fully God and fully man. I believe that Jesus came to earth through the birth of the virgin Mary, that he lived a sinless life and performed miracles, that he was put to death by Pontius Pilate, he died and was buried, that he rose from the dead on the third day, that he ascended into heaven and now sits at God’s right hand, and that he will one day return to judge all the living and the dead and to establish a new heaven and a new earth.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, sent by the Father and the Son who glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He transforms lives by convincing people of their sin and misery, by enlightening their minds in the knowledge of Christ, and by capturing their hearts with the love and mercy of God so that they turn to Jesus in faith and repentance. The Spirit is present with and in believers, gives them gifts, and empowers them for Christ-like living and service.
I believe that salvation is only by God’s grace and is received solely by faith in Christ alone.
